Meeting of the Council on Cognitive Programs and Technologies

At the meeting, the working order of the Council and organizational and technical issues were considered.

Leading experts in AI, cognitive psychologists, cognitive linguists and experts in historical sciences: E. N. Ivakhnenko, V. I. Zabotkina, A.O. Chubaryan, B.M. Velichkovsky, D.G. Lahuti, V.I. Podlaskaya, E.M. Pozdnyakova, V.K. Finn, T. Gergay and others took part in the meeting. Rector of RSUH, the chairman of the Council Evgeny Ivakhnenko welcomed participants of the meeting.

During the meeting, new Russian and foreign members of the Council were approved:
- A. O. Chubaryan, Doctor of History, Professor, Academic of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Director of the Institute of World History of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Director of the Educational and Research Center for European Studies of the Institute of Philology and History of the RSUH;
- B.M. Velichkovsky, Doctor of Psychology, Professor, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Director of the Institute of Cognitive Research of the Kurchatov Institute, Chief Research Officer of the Research and Education Center for Cognitive Programs and Technologies of the Russian State University for Humanities;
- L. P. Repina, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Theory and History of Humanitarian Knowledge at the History and Philology Faculty of the Institute of Philology and History of the RSUH. Deputy Director of the Institute of World History of the Russian Academy of Sciences;
- O.V. Vorobyova, PhD of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Theory and History of Humanitarian Knowledge at the History and Philology Faculty of the Institute of Philology and History of the RSUH; Head of the Center for Comparative History and Theory of Civilizations of the Institute of General History of the Russian Academy of Sciences;
- O.V. Pavlenko, vice-rector for scientific work of the RSUH, PhD of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor;
- Ernst Peppel, Dr., Professor of the Center for Humanitarian Studies of the University of Munich Ludwig-Maximilian (FRG), Honorary Doctor, HONORIS CAUSA, RGGU;
- Eva Runau, director of the Center for Humanitarian Studies of the University of Munich Ludwig-Maximilian (FRG), doctor, professor.

Among other things, the work plan of the Council on cognitive programs and technologies for 2016-2017 was approved. The members of the Council also discussed the possibility of applying for new grants in the areas of cognitive research: Russian Science Foundation project "In Search of the Self: an interdisciplinary study of voluntary action generation”; the Russian-Singaporean-German project "Eurasian identity is an interdisciplinary approach" and the project "Semantics driven Intelligent Cognition System" (SICOS).

After discussing all issues, the Council meeting on cognitive programs and technologies was concluded.
