Readings in general linguistics

In the "Reader on general linguistics" published an article "Pragmatics of the new word" of the Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, Dr., Prof., Project Manager of the RSF No. 17-78-30029 "Cognitive mechanisms and discursive strategies for overcoming socio-cultural threats in historical dynamics: multidisciplinary research" with the support of the Russian Science Foundation" Vera Zabotkina. The present anthology also contains fragments from the works of prominent Russian linguistic scientists in such modern areas of linguistics as cognitive linguistics, pragmatics, semantics, word formation, terminology, and translation studies. In contrast to the well-known textbooks on general linguistics, focused on the works of linguists of the past, this textbook contains excerpts from the works of contemporary Russian scientists.
