The new issue of the journal "The New Philological Bulletin" contains the article "On the question of the features of temporal meaning explication in the poem of B.Pasternak "The Christmas Star" written by Zabotkina Vera Ivanovna co-authored with Konnova Maria Nikolaevna, associate professor of the Department of Linguistics and Linguodidactics of the Institute of Social and Humanitarian Technology and Communication of the Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University (Kaliningrad).
In the article, characteristic features of temporal meaning verbalization in the B. Pasternak poem “The Christmas Star” are investigated. In the context of the "Christian way of thinking" of the poet, mostly revealed in the evangelical verses of the novel "Doctor Zhivago", the features of conjugation of various historical plans are considered in the time structure of the "Christmas star". Analysis shows that in the poem isolated temporal layers appear in an inseparable unity of the eternal present, in which time is overcome and the mystery of eternity is revealed. The author reveals the direct text analogies between the metaphorical images of the poem, Orthodox hymnography and patristic studies, which testify to the deep rootedness of Pasternak’s works in the centuries-long Russian cultural tradition.
